Greetings!
This is Edward Douglas. Some of you may have met me at the awards meeting or at various screenings, but I'm one of the newer members of NYFCO. I had talked a few times with Harvey about having some sort of message board where the members of NYFCO can freely discuss movies or post info on local screenings, trade horror stories about dealing with publicists, etc
In an organization like NYFCO, you're hoping to be a part of something that can make a greater difference as a group where it's sometimes difficult as an individual. I think that being able to "talk among ourselves" more regularly would certainly make it easier for us to become a closer, more solid group (or at least that is my hope).
I'm taking on the job as default board moderator. I'll take suggestions on where to take the board, separate categories to add, if we need to set any ground rules, etc.
Hopefully, everyone who decides to use the message board will get something out of it and it will ultimately help NYFCO as a whole this year. Feel free to post any suggestions either here or on the other board.
